Transformative Nature Educational Model
We highlight the transformative power of nature in education by creating learning environments that awaken curiosity, empathy, and a sense of belonging to the living world.
Our approach promotes learning in and with nature, fostering new ways of understanding the relationship between people and their environment. Through this model, we aim to strengthen ecological awareness and contribute to a more equitable and connected educational system.
We work to:
- Develop an educational model rooted in direct experience with nature.
- Train teachers through the Transformative Education with Nature
- Encourage the formation of ecological citizenship and community stewardship.
- Reimagine the bond between education and the environment to improve access and quality in learning.
- Design and implement green areas in educational centers that embody the formative and healing role of nature.
Through:
- The development of an educational model in and with nature.
- Training practicing teachers from the perspective of the Transformative Education with Nature model.
- Promote the formation of ecological citizenship.
- Rethinking and proposing new ways of linking education and nature, with the goal of contributing to improving the quality and access to education in our country.
- Create green areas in educational centers that enhance the formative role of nature.

The challenges posed by the climate and ecological crisis we are experiencing require a transformation of the values that govern the relationship between people and nature. This implies a shift in awareness and lifestyle, a process in which education is essential.
Moving toward an educational system that incorporates this vision into the formal curriculum of educational institutions and that is a central element in teacher training is the challenge we set out to develop together with Alberto Hurtado University, to contribute to forming citizens aware of the indissoluble union between society and nature, and the benefits of a harmonious relationship between the two.
