Fundación Cosmos is a Chilean philanthropic organization dedicated to the design, planning, and management of infrastructure and management models for natural areas. We integrate architecture and conservation, promoting nature-based solutions for human well-being and biodiversity conservation.

Through infrastructure projects, ecological restoration, environmental education, and territorial management, we develop models that integrate sustainability, community participation, and ecosystem protection, with the aim of strengthening the relationship between people and nature.

 

Purpose: To strengthen our connection with nature and contribute to a culture that promotes the well-being of socio-ecosystems.

Mission: To develop nature-based territorial management models through landscape architecture, conservation, and education, in partnership with public and private stakeholders.

Vision: A harmonious relationship between nature and human beings, as interdependent members of a territory.

  • Executive President

Pamela is the founder and Executive President of Fundación Cosmos. She is a designer with a Master of Arts in Landscape Design and Planning (MALD) and a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA).

  • Diego Urrejola
  • Executive Director

Diego is a Biologist specializing in Environment and Natural Resources from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He has worked in public institutions, international organizations, and as a consultant in environmental management and conservation projects.

At Fundación Cosmos, he facilitates the management and implementation of planned objectives, leading the professional team and coordinating its relationship with the Board of Directors.

  • María Paz Gumucio
  • Community Relations Coordinato

María is a Sociologist from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, with a minor in Sustainable Development.

Her work focuses on designing and implementing participatory methodologies to strengthen governance and foster a sense of belonging among communities in relation to their territories.

  • Camila Pascual
  • Director of Content, Communications and Design

Camila holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Conservation from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, and is a designer with a Master’s degree in Territory and Landscape from Universidad Diego Portales. She also holds postgraduate diplomas in Landscape Design and Sustainability from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

Her work focuses on leading the content, communications, and design area, as well as managing and developing projects that support the Foundation’s mission, vision, and purpose.

  • Communications Coordinator

Ángel is a journalist with a postgraduate diploma in Corporate Communications from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

His work focuses on leading the Foundation’s communications strategy, strengthening its positioning, and helping communicate its vision, work, and philosophy across its various channels and platforms.

  • Valentina Schmidt
  • Project Coordinator

Valentina is an architect from the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism at Universidad de Chile and holds a Master’s degree in Urban Design from the University of California, Berkeley.

Her work at the Foundation has focused on the design and coordination of projects related to Healing Gardens and educational courtyards.

  • Martín Colombres
  • Project coordinator

Martín is an architect with a Master’s degree in Sustainable Architecture and Energy from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He also holds postgraduate diplomas in BIM Architecture, BIM Systems, and Project Coordination, Planning and Management, and is a certified Forest Bathing guide.

At Fundación Cosmos, he coordinates and designs Healing Gardens, developing projects that integrate architecture, nature, and health while creating spaces that strengthen the connection between people, place, and purpose.

  • Francisca Ravanal Walker
  • Conservation Project Coordinator

Francisca is a veterinarian from Universidad de Concepción, with a Master’s degree in Environmental Management and Leadership from the University for International Cooperation in Costa Rica, and a postgraduate diploma in Environmental Analysis and Management from the EULA Center at Universidad de Concepción.

Her work focuses on coordinating and designing nature conservation strategies across different project areas that contribute to the Foundation’s mission, vision, and purpose.

  • Carmen Luz Sánchez
  • Planning and Evaluation Coordinator

Carmen Luz is a Sociologist from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and holds a Master’s degree in Sociology from the University of Sydney. She has worked in academia and civil society, leading research, monitoring, and program evaluation using quantitative and participatory methodologies.

Her work focuses on the planning, monitoring, and evaluation of projects, ensuring that each initiative contributes to the Foundation’s purpose and strategic objectives.

  • Felipe Correa
  • Project Director

Felipe is an architect from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He has worked at leading architecture firms and has also taught at the Faculty of Architecture and Design at Universidad del Desarrollo (UDD).

At the Foundation, his work focuses on the overall coordination of projects, infrastructure design, and supporting the Executive Director.

Domingo is an architect with a Master’s degree in Architecture from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

At the Foundation, his work focuses on supporting the development of architecture and landscape architecture projects, with a particular focus on the Healing Gardens program.

  • Ignacio Ascui
  • Valparaíso Regional Coordinator

Ignacio is an architect with a Master’s degree in Architectural Design from the Faculty of Architecture and Design at Universidad Andrés Bello. He has built most of his professional career in the public sector.

He works as a Project Coordinator in the Valparaíso Region, bringing together public and private stakeholders and civil society.

  • Consuelo Roldán
  • Project Coordinator

Consuelo is an architect with a Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Her professional work has focused on the development of natural public space projects in places such as wetlands, hills, and urban parks.

Alongside her design practice, she also teaches, lecturing on landscape representation in the master’s programs at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and Universidad del Desarrollo.
