Bajos de Mena is located in the Commune of Puente Alto in Santiago. This neighborhood has a high population to hectare ratio, where approximately 120,000 people live in an area of 600 hectares. It has a high poverty, crime rate, and lack of resources; consequently very limited green areas available for the residents.
In order to provide for the Bajos de Mena community a new green open space, Fundacion Nocedal proposed to Fundación Cosmos to design and develop a school Master Plan to facilitate a safe park for the community.
